The global effect

ECONOMIC IMPACTS
Some of the main costs of malaria are to the individual, and they can include: the cost of burials, the cost of expensive cures that mey be counterfeit, the money involved in actually getting to a clinic and lost income from time off work.
It also has large monetary implications to the governments as well. these can include the maintaining of medical clinics, the supplying of bed nets and incecticides, the cost of buying drugs, lost tourism out of fear for catching malaria, lost income due to sick workers and lost buisness because of the selling of fake drugs. It was estimated by Econimists that malaria has cost nearly 12 billion dollars directly but much more in hampered growth of developing nations.
SOCIAL IMPACTS
Malaria also has large social impacts too. Firstly, it kills off a large proportion of the population, which has a massive social effect on families and communities. It also either kills or disables for a time members of the countries workforce, giving less money and quality of life to everyone. In any case, having a desiease cause 10% of all deaths worldwide is not a good thing, and this is why malaria is such a problem that needs adressing.
